L’escalier is the latest addition to Alex Aitken’s Le Poussin Group and his first Restaurant and Bar in Southampton. With a Michelin star at his, “Le Poussin” at Whitley Ridge, Brockenhurst , Alex has a reputation for fine food throughout Hampshire and beyond. He has a passion for creating and serving classically inspired cuisine with a contemporary twist; regularly changing his menus to reflect the seasons and feature local produce.

L’escalier ‘s restaurant and bar areas have been created by the internationally renowned designer, David Collins. David ‘s previous projects have included many London landmark restaurants and bars: Claridges, Petrus and Nobu have all been infused with David Collins’ creative talent. Described by GQ magazine as, “Hot-wired to modern life “ he is nevertheless sympathetic to period architecture.
